The trusses have arrived and been put into place.
The basic shape/size is now apparent.
Inside, the ceiling heights can now be imagined.
A bit of a lull as we wait for the digger to return and backfill. Maybe then our garden will look less like the Somme.

Looking great. Can we get an architect, a landscape gardener, a pint-sized site foreman and a little helper out here to Wellington, New Zealand, to help out with our home projects??!?
sure!! we'll expense the trip!
A topping out ceremony is in order with caber tossing kilted dancers.
It looks good.
in true maison camy style D snagged an oak branch off some poor unsuspecting tree and presented it to me as ornament for the top of the spandrel panel. poor branch is withering away while i search for the cajones to climb to the top. perhaps the joiner can tack it up while he's fixing the sarking...
...which leaves the roti de bitumen...
